Northrop Grumman ( $NOC ) is, in my view, the most professionally managed of all the major defense contractors. This is, also in my view, down to CEO Kathy Warden who has put in a blinding performance since her leadership of the Orbital-ATK acquisition and integration in 2018 - this was a $10bn acquisition with a difficult integration project that finished ahead of time and ahead of budget - this is almost unknown with M&A at that scale. She also came to NOC as a cybersecurity expert rather than someone versed in monolithic military systems - this edge is becoming more important with every year that passes.
Let’s see how the company and the stock are doing.
