More Ways In Which Big Money Takes Money Off Of Small Money

Right now each of the equity indices is playing a game of will-it, won't-it.  Will it rip or will it slip?  If you have the time and inclination to sit and buy short term dips and sell short term rips all day long, you can make very nice returns.  If, like us here at Cestrian, you have other demands on your time (like running this business dammit!), then you may wish to just hedge and wait it out, or, have no positions and just wait it out.  Pretty soon the market will decide which way it goes next.  The up-down-sideways-down-up-down all within a range?  That's just another form of seal-tossing.

Let's, as always, adopt the orca's perspective, and aim to swim just a little behind them.  The orcas will lead us to the money if we can just avoid getting hurled around and devoured by them as they limber up.

(If you missed the seal/orca meme theme, read this.  )

For our paying members only we walk through the shorter- and longer-term outlooks for the S&P500, the Nasdaq, the Dow and the Russell.  We include Cestrian staff personal account trading plans.  If you've yet to sign up to a paying plan here, you can do so right from the link below.
